Assistant Loco Pilot

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass plus
  • (a) ITI in specified trades/Act Apprenticeship, OR
  • (b) Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering in lieu of ITI.

Note: Specified trades for the purpose of (a) above are as follows:

• Fitter
• Electrician
• Instrument Mechanic
• Mill Wright/Maintenance Mechanic
• Mechanic (Radio & TV)
• Electronic Mechanic
• Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)
• Wireman
• Tractor Mechanic
• Armature & Coil Winder
• Mechanic (Diesel)
• Heat Engine
• Turner
• Machinist
• Refrigeration & AC Mechanic

• Note (I): Combination of various streams of trades of engineering disciplines from a recognized institution in lieu of ITI will be allowed.
• Note (II): Degree in the Engineering disciplines as above will also be acceptable in lieu of Diploma in Engineering.

Age Limit: Between 18 to 33 years.

Exam Pattern

• 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
• The exam duration will be 60 minutes.

• The Second Stage CBT will consist of two sections: Part A and Part B. Part B will be of qualifying nature only whereas the marks of Part A will decide the progress of the candidates to the next stages of the selection process.
• The minimum qualifying marks for Part B are 35% for all candidates irrespective of the category.
• 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
• There will be sectional timing in the RRB ALP CBT II examination.
