The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is an autonomous body, created to assist organizations in selection of personnel at various levels.
Age limit: Between 20 and 30 years. The IBPS also provides age relaxation to certain categories.
Educational Qualification: The eligibility criterion for the IBPS exam is a graduation degree (BA, BCom, BSc, B.Tech, etc) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India. Any such candidate who has received equivalent qualification which the Central Government recognizes is also eligible to apply for this exam.
IBPS PO exam pattern is divided into prelims, mains, and interviews.

Shortlisted candidates for the mains exam are called for the interview, which is conducted by the participating organizations and coordinated by the nodal bank. The interview carries 100 marks. In the interview, candidates are asked questions based on the Banking Sector, Current Affairs, General Awareness, etc. The minimum qualifying mark in the interview is 40 per cent (35 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
